A mild and sunny day met Orienteers from western NC and upstate SC. Epunch and preprinted courses on Josef’s map made the preparations easy for everyone’s “runabout”. That’s about what it is for new orienteers:  getting lost and finding your way back. For the advanced orienteer, it’s meeting the challenge of the course setter. My thanks to everyone who came to meet both challenges and will make an effort to multiply those challenges in this part of the country. Along with that effort will be David Aaronson and Melanie Stowell, and as instructor and registrar at Guion Farm, they were an essential factor in the success of this meet.
