The weather god once again smiled upon the COK. After the freezing rain on Thursday, the weather cleared up on Friday in time to set the controls. Saturday started out a bit on the cold side, especially for the meet workers who were out in the park early, but it warmed up during the day and turned out to be perfect orienteering weather.

We had a great turnout, a total of 173 people. That broke down into 95 starts, out of which 8 were people doing second courses for the day. Electronic punching on Orange, Green and Red were again popular — we almost ran out of rental finger sticks. It is a little more work for the course setter since there is more material to be carried out into the woods, but the competitors really enjoy using it.
