  Piedmont Orienteering Is a Go

Piedmont Environmental Center | 16-Dec-2006 | David Alexander, meet director.

Piedmont Environmental Center in High Point, NC is a really great little park for orienteering. Varied topographical features, undulating shoreline, rocks, creeks and an extensive trail network offer many possibilities for control features. Josef Trzicky set the courses for our Saturday, Dec. 16th meet and was able to pack in a green course 5.25 km long with 19 controls. This was terrific course and very challenging.

Thanks to Dick Thomas, Park Director, for letting us hold the meet at the park. I hope we will be able to use this park again next year. Also thanks to Don Christensen and Al Rogers for helping with control pick-up.
