Take I-77 South of Charlotte into South Carolina.
Go Left at exit #88, Gold Hill Rd.
Continue straight on Springfield Pkwy for 3.4 mi.
Anne Springs Close Greenway is on Right.

From Charlotte:
I-85 South through Gastonia to US 74 West exit, just past Gastonia.
Follow US 74 West for 18 miles - past Shelby.
Turn right on US 226 North.
Follow 226 for 31.1 miles, to Vein Mountain Road.
Turn left onto Vein Mountain Rd.
Go 0.3 miles to camp entrance on left.
Time: about 1 hour, 45 minutes from downtown Charlotte.
Alternate Route:
I-77 North to I-40 to Statesville.
Take I-40 to Marion.
Pick up US 226 heading South.
Approximately 10 miles to Vein Mountain Road.

Clear Creek Scout Camp

From Charlotte:
Take I-485 to the Albemarle Road intersection (exit 41),
and exit onto Albemarle Road heading east (out of town).
Go east on Albemarle Road until you come to Clear Creek Elementary School.
After the school, turn right on Cabarrus Road.
Go 2.5 miles on Cabarrus Road then turn right on Ferguson Road.
Go 0.8 miles then turn left on McManus Road.
After 1.5 miles turn right on Belt Road.
The camp will be on your left off of Belt Road.
Alternate route:
From the intersection of I-485 and US Highway 74,
Take I-485 east to exit 44 (Mint Hill exit).
Go right (south) on 218 for 1/10th of a mile.
Turn left onto Brief Road.
Go 4 1/2 miles east on Brief Road.
Turn left onto Black Road.
Go 1 mile on Black Road.
The entrance to Clear Creek Scout Camp is on your right.

Take hwy 49 North from Charlotte approximately 40 miles.
Right on hwy 109 for 8.5 miles.
Right on Mullinix Rd. for 1.5 miles.
Right on Mcleans Creek Rd. (FR 544) for 1.6 miles.
Right on Badin Lake Rd. (FR 597) for 0.2 miles.
Left on FR 597A for 0.5 miles
Straight on Group Camp Rd (FR 6551), 0.7 miles, past the group camping area.
Kings Mt. Point Day Use Area parking lot is at the end of the road.
Note: All those right turns seem like you are going in a circle. Drive time is a little over an hour from the UNCC area.

Fisher Farm Park

From Charlotte:
Take I-77 North to Exit 25.
Turn Right (East) onto Sam Furr Road. Go 3.9 miles,
Turn Left onto Davidson Concord Road. Go 2.3 miles.
Turn Right onto Rocky River Road Go 2.2 miles
Turn Left onto Shearer Road, follow it for 1.6 miles.
Turn Left onto Fisher Road. Follow it to the gravel parking lot.
From north of Davidson:
Take I-77 South to Exit 30.
Turn left onto Griffith Street (towards Davidson). Go 1.1 miles.
Turn right (at the T-intersection) onto Main Street/ NC 115. Go 0.1 miles.
Turn left onto Concord Road (after 1.9 miles Concord Road becomes Rocky River Road). Go another 2.2 miles on Rocky River Road. (4.1 miles altogether)
Turn left onto Shearer Road, follow it for 1.6 miles.
Turn left onto Fisher Road. Follow it to the gravel parking lot.

Traveling north on I-77: Take Exit 16B, Sunset Road.
Turn left, going west to Beatties Ford road.
Turn right on Beatties Ford Road and proceed north for 4.8 miles until
you reach Sample Road (directly across from Hopewell
Presbyterian Church).
Turn left on Sample Road. Continue on this road for
approximately 1.2 miles till you reach the park.
From Statesville:
Traveling south on I-77: Take Exit 23, Huntersville.
Turn right off the exit to Gilead Road.
Take the third left, McCoy Road.
At the stop sign, turn right on Beatties Ford Road.
Turn left onto Sample Road. Stay on Sample Road until you reach the
park.

From Charlotte:
Take I-77 South to Carowinds Blvd exit.
Turn right and go approximately 4 miles.
Turn left onto York Road (Hwy 49 South) and go approximately 4 miles
till you see the park on your right. If you go across the Catawba River
- you've gone too far!
From South Carolina:
Take Highway 49 towards Charlotte and go over the Buster Boyd bridge
(Catawba River). The park is approximately 1/4 mile on your left.

Take Albemarle Road NC 24/27 east to Albemarle.
At the intersection of E. Main and NC 24/27 (McDonalds is on your left), go straight.
This is NC 740.
Turn right onto Morrow Mountain Road.
Follow Morrow Mountain Road into the park.
Follow orienteering signs to registration.
From Raleigh:
Take 64 West to Asheboro.
Take 49 southwest towards Charlotte.
After crossing the lake turn South on Route 8. Go 3 miles.
Turn Left onto 740
In about 10 miles, the turnoff to Morrow Mtn will be on your Left.
Follow the orange and white arrows to the registration.

Take I-85 North from Charlotte towards Greensboro.
Get off at Exit 113 (Hwy 62). Turn left from the off-ramp and go under the interstate.
Make an almost immediate right onto Kersey Valley Rd and follow it till it ends (T-intersection).
Turn left onto Kivett Dr.
After crossing over business I-85 about 1KM later turn right onto Scientific Dr.
You'll cross over RR tracks and eventually end at W. Main St. Turn left...
...
and then the next right on Penny Road.
The park is on your right.

Reedy Creek Nature Preserve

From Charlotte:
Take I-77 North, to
I-85 North.
Take Exit 45-A onto Harris Blvd.
Go thru 3 traffic lights.
At 4th light, turn Left onto Rocky River Road.
At 1st light, turn Left again to stay on Rocky River Road. (Trust me!)
Park entrance will be on your Right, just past the Fire Station.
Follow the orange and white arrows to the registration.
From points north of Charlotte:
Take I-77 South.
Take Exit 18, then
Left onto Harris Blvd.
Long haul (9 - 10 miles?) on Harris.
Cross over I-85, then come into the University City area.
Pass the University Hospital, go to the next traffic light, about 1.5 miles.
Turn Left onto Rocky River Road.
At 1st light, turn Left again to stay on Rocky River Road. (Trust me!)
Park entrance will be on your Right, just past the Fire Station.
Follow the orange and white arrows to the registration.
From Monroe/Union County/general points east:

Reedy Creek can easily be reached from I-485.
From Hwy 74 at the county line, take the I-485 outer loop NORTH to Exit 36.
Exit and turn Left (WEST) on Rocky River Road. Go about 2.8 miles.
The Reedy Creek entrance will be on the left.

Cross the intersection with South Tryon Street.
